Every year millions of sentient animals are imprisoned on filthy factory farms or trapped in the wild purely to satisfy a sick lust for fashion. Animals suffer immeasurable mental and physical distress, before they are killed by genital electrocution, gassing or throat slitting and skinned for a multi billion Euro industry. Fur farm investigations document horrific conditions year after year, highlighting the plight of fur bearing animals and showing the fur industry to be the barbaric practice that it is.
The U.S.A, China and Scandinavia are the world\'s largest exporters of fur. Anti-fur groups have focused their attention on campaigns against fur production in individual countries but an essential part of the infrastructure has until now been overlooked. The export and import of fur is an integral part of the industry worth millions of Euros annually. Some companies exist solely to profit from the transportation of skins and other larger logistic companies offer this service as a matter of course. Transport is needed to take the pelts from the farms to the auction house then to the buyers destination which would include further processing and designing before reaching the retail store.
Even though individual campaigns have been successful in convincing companies to go fur-free and even in some cases banning fur farming (the U.K and Austria) the industry needs to be tackled on a global level. If transport logistics companies severed their links with the fur trade, ceasing all movement of fur, the fur trade would collapse.
Please contact the following companies asking them to make the ethical step and refuse to deal with a cruel and outdated industry.
